  • Matching Grant Deadline - June 30, 2015

    A local foundation has challenged the Central Music Academy with a $30,000 matching grant!

    For every one dollar of "qualified contributions" the Academy raises between January 1 and June 30, 2015, the Foundation will match that dollar with one dollar up to a maximum of $30,000. To be a "qualified contribution", the contribution must be from either a new donor to the Academy (in which case each dollar will count toward the match) or an existing donor who is increasing his or her support to the Academy (in which case each dollar over the donor's 2014 level of support will count towards the match). 

    Please consider making a tax- deductible contribution today. 

     

  • Spring Recitals

    The Central Music Academy will hold 5 student recitals this spring. Please join us on Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12 at Central Christian Church at 205 E. Short St. Lexington, KY 40507 in the Commons Room on the 2nd Floor at 5:30 and 7:00pm. The recital on Wednesday, May 13 will be at 5:30pm at Willis Music at 130 W. Tiverton Way #135 Lexington Ky 40503. Free and open to the public.

  • St. John Passion

    St. John Passion

    A huge thank you to First Presbyterian Church for hosting the Music For Mission concert on April 17!! We appreciate everyone who came out and supported the Central Music Academy. What a great night! Here are a few pictures of CMA students performing before the St. John Passion concert.

  • St. John Passion on Friday, March 27

    The Kentucky Bach Choir, featuring Robert Petillo in the role of the Evangelist, will be performing the St. John Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach on March 27, 2015 in Music for Mission concert to benefit the Central Music Academy. 

    University of Kentucky professor of musicology Dr. Ben Arnold will be presenting a short informative lecture on the St. John Passion prior to the start of the concert. The pre-concert lecture will be presented at 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church. 

    Admission is free and free tickets are available at the door. Limited free parking is available in the parking lot across the street from the main entrance of the church. We hope to see you there.

  • 10th Annual Bach Marathon - March 21, 2015

    2 location:
    10:00am - 12:30pm at Maxwell St Presbyterian Church (180 E. Maxwell St)
    1:00pm - 5:00pm at Faith Lutheran Church (1000 Tates Creek Road)
    CMA students will be playing in the afternoon during the Children's Hour starting at 5:00pm at Faith Lutheran Church. Free and open to the public.
